Hatch Red Chile Wine Barbecue Sauce
This flavorful sauce is the perfect balance between sweet, spiced, salty and savory! Ideal for grilling with, using in shredded meat sandwiches, or as a dipping sauce.
• 1/2 c Brown Sugar
• 1-1/2 c Ketchup
• 1/2 c Red Wine Vinegar
• 3/4 c Hatch Red Chile Wine
• 2-1/2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
• 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
• 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
• 2 tsp Salt
• 1 tsp Pepper
• 1 tsp Onion Powder
• 1 tsp Soy Sauce
• 4 tsp Liquid Smoke Flavoring (optional)
Combine all ingredients into a large saucepan.
Mix thoroughly and simmer for 20 minutes or until desired thickness is reached.
For best results, allow to sit in refridgerator overnight for flavors to bind.
Try with ribs, chicken, brisket, lamb, pulled pork sandwiches, and shrimp skewers.
